Reports: Microsoft soon to unveil a wearable
Microsoft's long awaited entry to the modern wearable tech category is "imminent" according to reports from Forbes and The Verge.
limited to working only with those companies' respective devices or platforms.
Similar to other recent smartwatches like the Moto 360, Samsung Gear S and Apple's forthcoming Apple Watch, Microsoft's wearable will have a fitness component and will be able track a user's heart rate. The device is also said to have a battery life of two days, an upgrade over the one-day battery that many of today's smartwatches experience.
The Forbes report claims that Microsoft's device should be unveiled "within the next few weeks" while a separate report from The Verge claims the launch of Microsoft's wearable is "imminent." Both reports say the device should be in stores in time for the holiday season. Reports from earlier this year claimed the device would be announced in October, with some Microsoft watchers pegging a potential price of the device to be $199.99.
